What is the Naacal Protocol?
Origin of the term “Naacal”
The term “Naacal” first appears in the early 20th century in the writings of explorer and theosophist James Churchward, author of The Sacred Symbols of Mu.
According to his theory, the “Naacal” were priests or scribes of an ancient lost civilization, belonging to the mythical continent of Mu, which sank into the depths about 13,000 years ago.
Although these theories have no scientific basis, they have inspired entire generations of researchers, writers and filmmakers, becoming a metaphor for humanity's original knowledge.
From myth to contemporary narrative
In his novel, The Naacal Protocol – Code 211, Debenedetti reworks this ancient reference with a modern twist, transforming it into a secret code that spans the ages: a symbolic language linking neuroscience, perceptive power, and geopolitical domination. The Naacal Protocol thus becomes a bridge between past and future, between arcane memory and the cognitive warfare of the present.
The meaning of Code 211
In the context of the novel, Code 211 represents the synthesis of historical heritage and contemporary technology. The number harks back to the old Bauwerk 211 logistics code, used by the Reich's technical departments to identify underground facilities in the Riese project. But in the narrative, 211 also takes on an esoteric meaning: the "gate of the mind," the point where memory, perception, and control intertwine. It is the symbol of a power capable of transcending time and redefining the boundary between what is real and what can be perceived.
Fiction, research and reality
The Naacal Protocol blends elements of real historical and scientific research (CIA documents, DARPA experiments, Ukrainian geopolitics, the Riese Project) with purely fictional narrative structures. It's a work that questions the relationship between truth and perception, between what exists and what can be created through the mind. In the author's words, it's "a way to rewrite history starting from its shadowy areas."
A narrative and multimedia project
An ecosystem of content has developed around the novel:
the blog “Archivio 211 – Le Letture del Potere”, dedicated to geopolitics, communication and perceptual manipulation;
the podcast series “Behind the Protocol,” in which Debenedetti explores the links between mind, control, and power;
and the international film adaptation project “The Naacal Protocol – Code 211”, currently in development.
All these elements combine to create a unique narrative in the contemporary landscape: a fiction rooted in reality, yet capable of transcending it.
